Our client are currently looking for an Assistant Buyer to join them.
The Assistant Buyer will be responsible for assisting with the timely procurement of materials and hire of plant for several new build private housing projects throughout Yorkshire and the Midlands.
They will support our Production team, Procurement team and other internal customers assisting in delivering projects on time.
-Managing a number of projects nearing completion
-Raising thorough material order enquiries for tender of material packages
-Collating and analysing quotes
-Updating and issuing schedule purchase orders
-Inputting orders and schedules onto purchase order software system
-Raising and issuing purchase orders and prelim orders
-Purchasing office supplies and support for the Sales and Marketing team
-Collating, preparing and submitting rebate claims
-Creating and maintaining Supplier Agreements and Rebate agreements electronic libraries
-Updating and maintaining Projects electronic library
-Producing and maintaining Project files
-Scanning docs for electronic filing
-Resolving invoice queries
-Assisting the Supply Chain Manager, Purchasing team and other functions
-Educated to a A Level Standard or equivalent is essential
-Working toward HNC Construction and the Build Environment or similar is desirable
-Previous experience in a purchasing role in Construction
-Highy computer literate, particularly in Microsoft office and excel
-Ability to read and abstract information from drawings and specifications
-House Build software knowledge or similar is desirable
