    Your responsibilities will be to provide an efficient and effective customer care service, liaising with customers, contractors, site and management teams whilst maintaining effective working relationships.

    Your main duties will include:

    • To liaise with all customers and sub-contractors to establish an excellent after sales/maintenance response to all complaints / queries.
    • To be professional, courteous and punctual in all dealings with customers and our external partners.
    • Ensure all remedial works are monitored and that all relevant work is completed to the required standard within the agreed timescales.
    • Liaise with customers, suppliers, site managers and sub-contractors to ensure that all associated works are carried out at agreed times.
    • Ensure all materials and Labour that is required is available prior to works starting.
    • Ensure the customer care / after sales image by personally contacting customers two weeks after legal completion to ensure the customer is happy and satisfied.
    • Plan and monitor the work of the customer care supervisor in advance to ensure continuation of work.
    • Liaise with Site Managers, Contracts Managers and Construction Director prior to arranging any meetings with customers for the Customer Care Manager.
    • Produce all relevant documentation relating to customer care accurately and in a timely manner.
    • Responsible for updating COINS system in a timely and efficient manner to ensure accuracy of customer database.
    • Responsible for collating / maintaining the 28 day customer care questionnaire.
    • Maintain an efficient, effective filing system.
    • Monitor and report to the Customer Care Manager the performance of the sub-contractors.
    • Report any continually occurring problems encountered by the Customer Care Manager to ensure these can be rectified and the source of the problem identified.
    • Effectively liaise with management, maintenance supervisor, sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure minimum response times to customer care issues.

    The Assistant Buyer will be responsible for assisting with the timely procurement of materials and hire of plant for several new build private housing projects throughout Yorkshire and the Midlands.

    They will support our Production team, Procurement team and other internal customers assisting in delivering projects on time.

    Duties include:

    -Managing a number of projects nearing completion

    -Raising thorough material order enquiries for tender of material packages

    -Collating and analysing quotes

    -Updating and issuing schedule purchase orders

    -Inputting orders and schedules onto purchase order software system

  • Area Construction Manager - New Build Housing

    We are currently searching for an Area Construction Manager, for our client a highly successful housing developer that has experienced steady growth and has established themselves as a leading name in the Residential market. You will be responsibile for the construction teams across a number of our developments ensuring that build quality, workmanship and attention to detail are consistently high and build programmes and budgets are achieved.

    Ensuring that the teams share best practice and all work to our demanding health, safety and environmental standards, as well as delivering the high standards of customer service.

     

    Role duties:

    • Identify critical path issues such as services and put plans in place to meet key dates.
    • Identify in advance a schedule of information required to meet the build programme and circulate as necessary.
    • Liaise with the Commercial Department on the appointment of suitable sub contractors and suppliers to ensure adequate resources and expertise to achieve required quality within agreed timescales.
    • Liaise with the relevant Sales team to ensure up to date understanding of Sales Exchange and Completion targets in the area in order to ensure the Build Programme optimises revenue generation for each development
    • Ensure all staff on site are aware of site duration, the first expected income and the prelim allowance on each development.
    • Identify any issues affecting programme delivery within the area and resolve to meet required timescales.
    • Monitor level of work in progress and materials on site working closely with site surveyor.
    • Monitor and inspect developments regularly to ensure that all quality control procedures are being adhered to and that the highest standards of build are being achieved and reflected in good NHBC Audit results.
    • Comply with responsibilities as laid down in the Group’s Health, Safety & Environment Policy in order to ensure a safe working environment for employed, sub contractors and members of the public.
    • Ensure compliance with the same, throughout the department.
    • Carry out monthly inspections of each site plus quarterly inspections with Regional Health and Safety Manager.
    • Review specific training needs with the Health & Safety Manager and ensure appropriate training throughout the Area Team.
    • Attend weekly Build and Sales meeting as required and keep the management team fully informed of site issues and progress and assist in closing down issues and providing support.
    • Attend CVC meetings as required.
    • Attend Build/Technical meetings as required.
    • Attend regular meetings with the Sales Managers including joint visits of all show homes and marketing suite area

     

    To be successful in the role you will possess the following skills and attributes:

    • Holder of a Full UK Drivers Licence
    • Holds the relevant qualifications: HNC/HND or Degree (Construction related).

In addition, you will communicate regularly with our office team, contractors and suppliers.     • Promote the client’s vision and values to internal and external stakeholders, in particular for Safety, Health & Environment
    • Ensure the client remains compliant with all legislation regarding Health Safety and the Environment
    • Drive to deliver continual SHE improvements
    • Ensure the client’s SHE procedures are implemented to allow all relevant legislation to be complied with
    • Provide support and advice to any part of the client’s operations on SHE issues and to ensure that the client’s SHE policies and any local guidance are fully aligned in order that no conflict or confusion exists
    • Ensure all accidents, incidents and near misses are correctly reported and support is provided to investigations in accordance with the client’s SHE policies and procedures
