    We are currently searching for an experienced Site Manager for our client, a highly successful housing developer that has experienced steady growth and has established themselves as a leading name in the Residential market. We are looking for a passionate individual with a strong track record in delivering exceptional projects on time and on budget. 

    This position is for a brand-new development in the Lincon area. On offer for the successful Site Manager is a basic salary between £50,000 - £58,000 + Car/Allowance + Benefits.

    Role duties:

    Reporting to our client's Contracts Manager, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to;

    • Ensure that the programme deadlines are achieved
    • Assist the contractors and subcontractors to ensure they have a full understanding of the required program dates
    • Ensure that all building operations are carried out in line with current health and safety standards and that all method statements and risk assessments have been reviewed and checklists completed
    • Conduct and monitor toolbox meetings, health & safety training, including site inductions and site training are conducted as necessary
    • Ensure that all works are carried out to the highest standards of quality
    • Assess the quality of work at all stages

  • We are currently searching for an experienced Contracts Manager, for our client, a highly successful housing developer that has a fantastic reputation and product. Their projects are all based in the Scunthorpe area, making this a great opportunity for an individual in the area looking for a local opportunity.     Role duties:

    Responsible for 4 - 6 live sites
    Pre-start site inspections and preparation of CDM pack and develop through construction plan
    Prepare suitable tender list for subcontractors and suppliers, monitor their performance and feedback to Commercial department
    Ensure adequate and suitable resources are available for effective site start
    Monitor performance against construction programme to ensure targets are met and completions are on time
    Progress chasing as required. Provide dates through Sales/Build meetings to ensure legal completions are as forecast
    Monitor Health & Safety performance to ensure compliance with legal obligations and Company requirements
    Control additional costs for non-productive and prelim expenditure to ensure Group guidelines and take part in cost control meetings
    Liaise with all departments to support the Site Manager's role and ensure information, materials and contractors are available
    Monitor each stage of construction as work proceeds to ensure a quality product
    Liaise with purchasers to ensure we provide a suitable level of service after completion
    Support the Site Manager in ensuring that on-site Construction teams are fully resourced and well-directed, with clear guidelines to their own job responsibilities, and are provided with full support in achieving these, in terms of communication, training and development, and the organisation of the site's workload
    Provide a professional interface with purchasers, external contracts, contractors etc.
    Assist the Construction Director in all matters relating to the efficient performance of the Construction department

  • Job Introduction:

    TSR have an excellent opportunity for a Technical Manager to join an established team in Lincoln. As a key member of the team, you will play an integral part in the continuing success of this Area Office.

     

    Role Responsibility:

    • Provide technical support to the land and development teams to assist during feasibility studies.
    • Procure road and sewer designs, external works, private drainage, and, FFL’s in line with a brief produced by you.
    • Review and value engineer the infrastructure designs.
    • Identify new external consultants to supplement the current panel, agree fees, the scope of service, capability, timescales and deliverability. Formally appoint such consultants.
    • Produce a detailed design programme which identifies key dates and a critical path.
    • Procure foundation schedules in line with the geotechnical reports ensuring the most cost-effective solutions are identified.
    • Procure remediation strategies taking into consideration the geotechnical report, infrastructure requirements and regulatory requirements.
    • Manage all consultants to ensure the flow of information is within the agreed timescales and in accordance with the programme.
    • Coordination of adoption agreements for roads and sewers in a timely manner.
    • Respond to site queries and resolve technical/construction problems.
    • Interact with statutory bodies, local authorities and external consultants with regards to the satisfactory discharge of planning conditions within an agreed time frame.
    • Control the submission of building regulations and warranty applications.
    • Coordinate transfer plans, management plans for estate sales packs, liaising with Solicitors and Sales Department.
    • Appointment of management companies using and implementing the group procedure.

     

    The Ideal Candidate:

    • The role requires a strong technical knowledge base ideally from a technical design background of either architectural or civil engineering (preferably both)
    • Knowledge of the housebuilding industry gained preferably with a high-volume house builder
    • Educated to HNC/HND level in a construction related qualification
    • Possess strong negotiation and communication skills
    • A broad technical understanding
