This job advertisement is for a position as an Estimator/Quantity Surveyor (QS) with a specialist subcontractor based in Rotherham, offering a salary range of £35,000 to £50,000, plus a car allowance or company car.

• Basic salary circa £40,000-£55,000 per annum

Job Role & Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Director to cost projects.
• Split role with 50% Estimating and 50% Quantity Surveying.
• Prepare estimates and submit tenders to main contractors or clients.
• Attend client meetings and site visits to scope projects and build relationships.
• Manage site costs to ensure completion within budget.
• Complete cost value reports and final accounts.
• Provide value engineering and technical advice to clients.
• Attend site meetings from project inception to handover.

Required Knowledge/Experience:

• Proven experience as an Estimator/Quantity Surveyor.
• Experience in a commercial position.
• Construction qualification preferred but not essential.
• Good IT skills.
• Excellent relationship-building skills.
• Full UK driving license required.
