Job Duties:

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential and commercial buildings
• Inspect plumbing systems and identify issues using diagnostic equipment
• Read blueprints and follow building codes to ensure proper installation
• Collaborate with other construction professionals to plan and execute plumbing projects
• Provide estimates for plumbing services and materials
• Respond to emergency plumbing calls and address urgent issues

Required Qualifications:

• Valid plumbing licence
• Proven experience as a plumber
• Knowledge of plumbing codes and regulations
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent problem-solving skills

Education:

Completion of a plumbing apprenticeship programme or relevant vocational training

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a plumber in a construction environment

Knowledge and Skills:

• Proficiency in using plumbing tools and equipment
• Strong understanding of water distribution and disposal systems
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional certifications in specific plumbing areas
• Experience with green plumbing technologies

Working Conditions:

The role involves working in various indoor and outdoor settings, often in confined spaces. Physical strength and stamina are required to handle plumbing tasks. The job may require working on weekends, evenings, and holidays, depending on project requirements.
