  • Land Manager - New Build Housing

    We are currently searching for a Land Manager for a top 10 UK housebuilder. The purpose of the role is to Identify, assess, pursue and progress potential land and partnership opportunities suitable for the business. Also responsible for pro-actively sourcing, manage and progress land and partnership opportunities and to understand, implement and adhere to SHEQ policy and strategy.

     

    Role duties:

    • Identify, assess, pursue and progress potential land and partnership opportunities suitable for the business in accordance with the client's Quality Management System
    • Lead and supervise, where appointed, bid submissions
    • Legal agreement negotiations on projects
    • Develop relationships with current and potential partner organisations and other client
    • companies to advance scheme progress and explore additional opportunities.
    • Provide regular updates regarding existing land holdings and proposed future land purchases.
    • Lead involvement in project Community Engagement and Investment
    • Develop relationships with partner organisations and other companies to advance scheme progress and explore additional opportunities.
    • Preparation and production
    • Procure technical, legal and development information to instruct internal and external parties to appraise site opportunities and constraints
    • Lead proposals from inception to consent
    • Negotiate land values with the involvement of the Regional Managing Director.
    • Work closely with all departments and external consultants, monitoring site progress through to consent
    • Implement all internal procedures including providing accurate and articulate reports in line with 
    • To identify and secure land and partnerships opportunities for the Regional Business to facilitate delivery of the growth plans.
    • To understand, implement and adhere to SHEQ policy and strategy and ensure that all staff reporting to you does the same.

  • TSR are currently looking for an experienced desk side engineer to start work in Newcastle.

    Contract Duration: 6 months with a possibility of extension

    Base Location: Newcastle or nearby region

    Rate: £16.50 plus possibility for overtime

    Job Description

    · Desk Side Engineer with break fix experience required.

    · Comfortable repairing laptop, desktop and tablet devices to board level.

    Skills required

    · Good customer relations

    · IT skills required.

    · Must be able to cross train for printer repair work in the future.

    · Good time keeping and time management.

    · Has a full UK drivers license.

    · Must be able to drive a small van.

    · Will clear basic security clearance/CRB.

    Role duties:

    Reporting to our client's Project Manager, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to;

    Ensure that the programme deadlines are achieved
    Assist the contractors and subcontractors to ensure they have a full understanding of the required program dates
    Ensure that all building operations are carried out in line with current health and safety standards and that all method statements and risk assessments have been reviewed and checklists completed
    Conduct and monitor tool box meetings, health & safety training, including site inductions and site training are conducted as necessary
    Ensure that all works are carried out to the highest standards of quality
    Assess the quality of work at all stages

    To be successful in the role you will possess the following skills and attributes:

    CSCS Card

    Previous new build housing site management experience
    SMSTS
    First Aid
    Have excellent communication and problem-solving skills
