  • Building Services CAD Technician/ Engineer – Building Services – District Heating – Permanent – Northampton

    I’m currently working with a company  specialises in the design, installation and maintenance of district heating networks. 
    An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Building Services CAD Technician to join their rapidly growing team, working on underground design & build projects for a wide range of clients.
    The ideal candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of Auto-CAD, as you will be required to input mechanical services onto drawings. This role would suit a proven CAD technician/Engineer who is looking for the next step in their career, as you will gain experience on a wide range of prestigious and high value projects and in addition, there will be opportunity to train and further develop your skills.  
    What You’ll Need to Succeed:
    •    Minimum 1 years’ experience in Building Services
    •    Proven competency with AutoCAD software
    •    Experience of drafting Building Services Mechanical drawings
    •    Ability to work to deadlines
    •    Willing and able to work as part of a tram with personal skills to promote good relationships and a friendly working environment

  • M&E Site Supervisor/ M&E Site Manager – Building Services – Halifax – Contract

    I’m currently working with one of the UK’s leading mechanical & electrical contracting businesses. From high voltage engineering, LED lighting and electrical safety to HVAC and energy management. No matter what the size of the project is my client has the experience and expertise to deliver it on time and within budget.

    They now have a requirement for an M&E Site Supervisor/M&E Site Manager to assist in the delivery of numerous energy reduction projects.

    Scope of works to include:

    • LED lighting
    • Boiler replacement
    • HVAC
       

    Experience & Qualifications:

    • CDM experience as a site manager/supervisor and respective duties under CDM
    • Health & Safety focussed
    • SMSTS/SSSTS
    • CSCS Card ( Supervisor or Manager)
    • Commercial electrical or mechanical background or both
    • Experience of retrofit projects within occupied premises
    • DBS registered or willing to have a DBS check
    • Able to plan and organise work activities
    • Communication – Customer focus able to deal with clients and building managers
    • First Aid (FAW – 3 day course)
    • Live within a commutable distance of Halifax

  • NICEIC Electrical QS (Qualifying Supervisor) – Building Services – Worcestershire – Temp to Perm

    I’m currently working with one of the Midlands’ largest and most experienced Electrical contractors, who have been trading for over 50 years.

    They now have a requirement for an Electrical QS to join their electrical division.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for the safety, technical standard and quality of electrical installation work under their supervision. This includes maintaining NICEIC registration with the Principal Duty Holder and demonstrating the ability and competence in inspection and testing, including use of test instruments and interpretation of results.

    As an Electrical Qualified Supervisor the successful candidate will be required to sign off all NICEIC certificates, undertake quality control of electrical works, training of electricians to improve quality of testing and certification.

    The successful candidate will hold the following qualifications:

    • 17th Edition
    • City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395
    • NICEIC
    • Full Driving Licence

  • 3D Revit Co-ordinator - Building Services - Permanent - Nottingham 

    I'm currently working with one of the UK's largest independent owned and managed technical service providers in the UK. Working in the built environment, they provide mechanical and electrical installation from initial design to project completion.
    Due to continued growth, they now have an opportunity for an experienced Revit Co-ordinator to join their design team.

    Key Responsibilities – Revit

    • Family creation and development
    • Systems development
    • Parameter development
    • Working with multiple models and shared co-ordinate systems
    • Understand the analytical model behind the structure for successful workflow into analysis and design software
    • Solid knowledge of controlling views with V/G interface, filters and links

    AutoCad

    • Good all round knowledge
    • Willingness to use AutoCad from time to time when workload dictates

    General 

    • Undertake production of and modification to allocated Engineering/Co-ordinated and ‘As Installed’ drawings, including plotting and printing of drawings on manual CAD systems, as required, to meet specified deadlines. 
    • Adapt Consultants’ drawings to work drawings in consultation with the Project Engineer. 
    • Undertake ‘Builders Work’ and ‘As Fitted’ drawings. 
    • Undertake site surveys as allocated. 
    • Attend meetings as required, both internal and external 
    • Implement, maintain and recommend appropriate procedures for CAD facilities to laid down Company standards. 
    • Facilitate any agreed temporary cover arrangements arising from workload pressures upon existing facilities. 
    • Undertake a range of project work as and when required. 
    • Undertake any other duties as requested from time to time that fall within the scope of the position. 
    • Work safely in accordance with the company’s current health and safety policy and procedures. 

    Capabilities to fulfil the role: 
    • To demonstrate knowledge of the design department work procedures 
    • To demonstrate knowledge of the company specific computer software specific to trade 
    • To discuss amendments when required with project teams 
    • An overall knowledge and understanding of a wide variety of HVAC, Electrical and Public Health and Sanitation systems and the associated design principles and practices 
    • Working knowledge of key packages, Revit, AutoCad, Word, Excel
    • A good knowledge of all aspects of health and safety within the industry and the ability to implement control measures within the design process 
    • Commercial awareness and appreciation of alternative systems and options

    Duties include: Wiring up Modular Builds

    Site hours: 10 hour days, generally 7am -5pm

    Site hours: Initially nights then going onto days - flexible hours 

    Pay rate: Days - £21ph / Nights - £31.50ph

    Main Duties:

    • Periodic testing on a hospital

    Not essential to have own Test kit.

    Once on a permanent contract, you will be given your own van.
